Short conversation
Amy: Hey, could you boost my confidence a bit? I have a presentation tomorrow.
Emily: Of course! You've got this! Just brace yourself, take a deep breath, and imagine the audience in their underwear. It always helps to break the tension.
Amy: Haha, thanks! But seriously, I tend to botch things up when I'm nervous.
Emily: Don't worry. Even if you stumble a bit, just bounce back. People appreciate authenticity, so don't feel like you have to bow to perfection.
Amy: I borrowed your laptop to work on the slides. Hope that's okay.
Emily: No problem at all. Just make sure to save your progress. I'd hate to lose important files in case of a sudden computer glitch.
Amy: Speaking of glitches, I hope the technology doesn't bowdlerize my video clips during the presentation.
Emily: If there's any issue, just let me know. I can help you troubleshoot. And if needed, we can bow to plan B.
Amy: Thanks for being my bowler of support! I'm feeling a bit more braced for tomorrow now.
Emily: You're welcome! Just remember, even the most experienced speakers have moments when they bore the audience. The key is to bounce back and keep going.
Amy: You're right. I'll do my best to keep the energy up and not let the nerves break me.
Emily: That's the spirit! Break a leg tomorrow—I mean, not literally, just as a way of wishing good luck!
Amy: Haha, thanks again. You always know how to boost my spirits.
